THE PLOT:
Rita's baby brother Rito arrives at Zedd's base with gifts of Tengas and a monster egg. He also attacks the Rangers with the
help of four other monsters from their past. The trap worked, Rito destroys the Thundarzords. Powerless, the rangers muster
the last amount of power to teleport to a distant planet in order to find Ninjor and invoke the Power of the Ninja in order
to stop Rita and Zedd.
That was the four part opening for season three and with these new powers and friend Ninjor the Rangers take on more of
Rita and Zedd's monstrous creations in order to save the world from devastation and enslavement.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
As you may be already aware of I am a big fan of the Power Rangers series. This season is no exception. In fact, I think
the longer the show continues the better it gets. This season ended the stock-footage of old monster and created a new giant
monster fight that had all four old monsters together instead stock-footage. This is got to be my favorite season of Mighty
Morphin' Power Rangers.
I GIVE IT...10 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I am also a fan of the Sentai Genre, all this season is stock-footage free, and it's not perfect either. Some of the monster
designs were a little silly and the episodes do get tad repetitive.
I GIVE IT...8 STARS
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ COOL MONSTERS (Zedd thinks a lot of the monsters this season was really cool)
+ VERY LITTLE STOCK-FOOTAGE (No stockfootage of old monsters fighting the newer megazords)
+ RITO (Rito is a very funny villain.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SILLY MONSTERS (Voltron thinks that some of the monsters got silly this season)
- REPETITIVE (A lot of the episodes ended the same way.)
And Finally:
- FAN BASED (If you're not big on the genre, then this is not the show for you)
