THE PLOT:
In David Cronenberg's remake of the 1958 classic, Jeff Goldblum plays Seth Brundle, a young scientist on the verge of creating
"TelePods," a machine that teleports a person from one TelePod to another. He is also falling in love with Veronica
Quaife (Geena Davis), a reporter helping him with, what they think is, the "story of the year." But the only problem
is, the TelePods won't transport matter, and when they do, what happens isn't a pretty sight. After Seth irons all the bugs
out of the Pods, he uses the first human test subject: himself. But a common housefly entered the Pod with him, and the machine
spliced their DNA together. As Seth's strength starts to increase along with his anger, the fly genes inside of him start
to awaken and Seth begins an evolution from human to a horrific man/insect creature he calls "BrundleFly." He can
still find a cure, but what lengths will he go to cure himself before he turns into BrundleFly completely? - Summery from

ZEDD'S OPINION:
Being a fan of the 1958 classic starring Vincent Price and David Hedison I was ready to be disappointed with this remake.
Consirdering they changed the name of the scientist, in the original the scientist name was Andre Delambre and in this one
it's Seth Brundle.
But I must admit I was impressed by the story, the cast and the effects. Of course the fly puking acid seen is not for
the weak of stomach, it's kinda gross. Plus the ending was kind of predicable. I also was kinda disappointed with the fact
the Brundlefly didn't have any wings, what is up with that? The original movie only had the head an arm, since they went
for a full body transformation why not wings? But all and all I did enjoy this film and any fan of the orignal should like
this remake.
I GIVE IT...8 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
Every Zedd said is right, this is a great remake of the classic movie, but I must admit I was a little more disappointed with
the climax of the film then Zedd was. But I wasn't disappointed enough to give it a bad review.
I GIVE it...7 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (It's a cool story that works in thw eighties as it did in the fifites)
+ CAST (I am big fans of Goldblum and Davis)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (Very impressive creature effects even if Brundlefly didn't have wings)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- ENDING (Without giving anything away was alittle disppointing)
= NO WINGS (The Brundlefly had no wings, so how could it be called a fly)
And Flinally:
- GROSS (The stomach acid puking is not for anyone with a weak stomach)
