THE PLOT:
In the 13th century there existed a legion of evil knights known as the Templars, who quested for eternal life by drinking
human blood and committing sacrifices. Executed for their unholy deeds, the Templars bodies were left out for the crows to
peck out their eyes. Now, in modern day Portugal, a group of people stumble on the Templars abandoned monastery, reviving
their rotting corpses to terrorize the land.
A husband and wife hire a guide of the area where they found a high school friend murdered. To find the truth behind
the legend of the Templars but what they find may end up killing them all.
THE OPINION:
I realy liked the Blind Dead series, the effects and the creepy aptmosphere was just perfect. This movie had substance also,
it wasn't all just spooky atmospheres. Allthough the human characters were unlikable mostly they were well devined. But
the ending without giving anything away was a tad disappointing. But what most impressed me was the creature effects. They
didn't look like masks and the skelton hands that can pick things up, brillant.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ EFFECTS (The best effects in a seventies horror movie either forgien or demestic)
+ SUBSTANCE (This movie had substance and not all spooky atmosphere)
+ WELL DEFINED CHARACTERS (The characters were people)
+ MONSTERS (The Templar desgin was way cool)
ON THE NEGATIVIE SIDE (- MISSES):
- ENDING (Without giving it away, it was somewhat disappointing and anti-climatic)
- CHARACTERS (Allthough the characters were well defined, they were unlikable)
- RAPE (The rape scene was not important to the plot and not needed)
