THE PLOT:
The story is set in 1933, 10 years after the events of the first film. Rick O'Connell is now married to Evelyn and the couple
has settled in London, where they are raising their 8-year-old son Alex. When a chain of events finds the corpse of Imhotep
resurrected in the British Museum, the mummy Imhotep walks the earth once more, determined to fulfill his quest for immortality.
But another force has also been set loose in the world... one born of the darkest rituals of ancient Egyptian mysticism, and
even more powerful than Imhotep. When these two forces clash, the fate of the world will hang in the balance, sending the
O'Connells on a desperate race to save the world from unspeakable evil, and rescue their son before it is too late.
THE OPINION:
I liked the first movie and I like this sequel, I even liked the Rock as the Scorpion King monster. This is a clever, smart
and funny continuation. I only wish a three would come out. Anyway, all fans of the first movie must see this, but if you
are not a fan, then you may not like it.
I GIVE IT (8 STARS)
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS)
+EFFECTS (The CGI effects in this movie were perfect, flawless, just cool)
+CHARACTERS (I liked the characters of Rick and Evy and the addiction of a smart mouth kid helped allot to add to the
chemistry)
+HUMOR (The movie got serious, but never lost that sense of humor that made the first movie great, plus it never, never
got too silly either)
And finally:
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)
- FAN BASED (If you are not fans of Mummy movies, then you will not be too impressed)
